PIP Claims

Many women who have had PIP breast implants have discovered that they have had to have the implants removed as they were faulty. The only implants affected are those manufactured by the French company PIP. Other implants are not the subject of current concerns. If your pip implant was carried out by the NHS then you should in the first instance contact your GP or medical consultant. The NHS have undertaken to replace all implants carried out on the NHS free of charge. In such cases you may have a PIP claim due to the stress and anxiety caused and compensation for any extra time you have to take off work. If the original procedure was carried out by a private clinic then you need to contact them for a consutation. There is at present no official recommendation that the breast implants should be removed and so the clinic may not be inclined to do so free of charge. In this case you should contact a pip claim lawyer for advice.
